The idea of Extreme Terrain 4X4 was originally conceived outside of our respective clubs in 2005, while not a “club”, it became a group of highly motivated individuals from different clubs who came together to enjoy 4wding, the outdoors, socialising & volunteering without the need for the political environment present in most clubs.
Immediately popular we numbered 25 active members (4wds) in 3 months and enjoyed numerous easy to hard, short to long trips & social events over the next few years. Our respective clubs were not excluded from these events and we encouraged all to attend thus increasing events for all.
In 2013 it was put forward that we would form our own club based on the ideal that we could enjoy all of our activities without hooning or harming the bush and most importantly, preserve it for future generations to enjoy. To achieve this we use several private properties throughout Victoria where our hardest drives and our club based competitions take place.
And so in 2014 our club was born, Incorporated and Affiliated with FWDVIC and the rest is history.
